It’s Foodgasm Friday and this week and it’s time to get a bit hot and heavy all up in here as we explore one of my favorite food’s Hot Dog’s. I’ve eaten a lot of hotdog’s over the course of my travels. They are a great budget travel food as you can generally find them pretty cheap from street vendors and fast food places.

When it comes to cooking your own hostel food it doesnt get much cheaper than a pack of budget hotdog sausages with some bread/buns. You can have them plain or you can have them with a variety of delicious artery clogging condiments.

I would have to say that the best hot dog to ever have entered my life  was during the week where I lost my hostel virginity in my first ever backpacking trip in Los Angeles  at a place called “Skooby’s” in Hollywood, With  it’s Sausage, bacon, peppers, onions, mustard, ketchup and mayonaise all enclosed in a perfect toasted bun not only did it look gorgeous but as soon as it touched my lips it felt like I had ascended up into hot dog heaven. (How cool would hotdog heaven be?)

Oh hotdog you sexy sexy delicious thing!

There is also this delicious hotdog with bacon and BBQ sauce that I cooked up for myself in my week lounnging around on the rastafarian island of Caye Caulker in Belize (Ok well it’s more a sausage in bread because there is no bun, but its using hotdog sausage so it still counts). What it lacked for in look’s and variety of flavor it made up for with its cheap  under $1 USD for 2 price tag, Plus it had bacon whcih instantly makes any food awesome.

Oh Caye Caulker hotdog you were Unbelizable…..ohhhhh see what I did there 😛

Another more interesting hotdog I engulfed  into the void that is my stomach Is this not so pretty looking hotdog from my time in Quito Ecuador, Don’t let looks decieve you, Even though this hotdog looks closer to what you would expect it to on the way out it more than made up for it with it’s deliciousness.

Another awesome thing about this hot dog was the pub I got it from was called “The G Spot” which made this dining experience even more entertaining. I was there with a female friend and I tried to check us in on facebook but unfortunately it didnt work :(. So there were many missed LOLS there unfortunately.
